This Swashplate Assembly, also called a "Plate Assembly", is located in both halves of the Hydraulic Drive Pump. Each half has one of these swashplates that rocks back and forth on a set of cradle bearings. The angle of the swashplates determines the displacement or flow of the pump. With no angle, the pump remains in its neutral state. We recommend replacing it if any noticeable wear is present on the face of the plate assembly where the pistons glide across.
