This clip is located above the inner-most shaft bearing. The clip is installed into the groove in the spindle shaft, helping secure the front housing assembly and setting the bearing preload. We recommend replacing the C-Clip when broken, cracked, or has other notable damage preventing it from securely sitting in the groove.
